Ambistat is the next generation of reptile thermostat.

The controllers on the market operate at a single temperature all the time. but that's not how things work in the real world, it gets warmer in the day and cooler in the night. Days last longer and are hotter in summer, and are shorter and cooler in winter.

The ambistat mimics the actual climate the animal is from. You select your animal from a drop down from the mobile phone app, and the thermostat configures itself according to the optimal settings determined by a certified herpetologist, not a self taught pet shop worker. You can of course choose your own settings if you have a specific rare breed.

A good reptile keeper manually adjusts timers month by month so you get more sun in the summer and less in the winter. The smart controller does this every day and adjusts it minute by minute so you get an accurate day night cycle from wherever the animal is from in the world. This is better for breeding. They breed at certain times of the season, but without a temperature difference and light cycle difference at different types of year, animals have no concept of season. Its not natural. All of the current generation on the market are not mimicking the actual environment.

If a light bulb goes in the tank, you have no idea. The animal just gets cold. In this day and age thats absolutely stupid. You can have a pop up on your phone that tells you the light needs replacing. You can monitor the current draw through the circuit to determine the health of the device. You can automatically order a replacement bulb within minutes of one breaking, even if you didnt even know its gone, with next day shipping.

It generally costs about £100 to set up a vivarium but you can do it with better technology for less money.

The ambi stat creates the perfect ambience for your pet. Its a smart thermostat, its got dual zone temperature control to get the perfect temperature gradient for your animal, has 2 temp sensors, 2 outputs (relay, dimming or pulse control), colour touch screen display for easy configuration, wifi, it can even be used to control a fan to cool things down if it gets too hot.

If you dont see the temp change from using the heater, we can report the heater is bust.
